put in about 10 miles this past week, I know some of you run
10 miles in your sleep, but i'm still getting back the energy and
"desire"to jump back on the exercise wagon. In the past week, I've
cut my 2 mile run by 3 and half minutes and my speed has increased
to what I was running before my surgery. woo hoo!
Today was the teachers first day back at work. I mentioned in a
previous post that I'm moving to a portable, but I didn't tell you
whose room I'm moving to. For those that don't know, school
portables are usually divided into 2 classrooms each, and the
portable I'm moving into (PF2) has been fully utilized by our Health
Occupations teacher for the past 7 years. He's a registered
nurse that teaches students nursing type of skills and they
finish their courses with a CNA certification (certified nurses
assistant). Well I walk in this morning and tell him "Guess
who's moving into one of your rooms?" Mr. B is a very nice
and helpful man, but this news has thrown him for a loop because
he has "my" room full of his nursing class stuff and he doesn't
have room to put it back on his side of the portable.
I walk in my new room this morning and am thrown aback for a
second to see a strange "person" in my room in a very strange
position. I turn the lights on quickly and lo and behold, there are
3 nursing beds directly in front of me and a full size male
mannequin laying upright in one of the beds.
OK. My mind immediately starts thinking...."NAPTIME!! No, I
can't do that, I'll get fired." I continue to look around and think
wow this room is equipped! Along with the 3 beds, I see a small
fridge, microwave, water sink and even more impressive a portable
toilet! aughhhhh!
Our fantastic custodial staff have quickly moved ALL my belongings,
my HUGE belongings, like my desk, 3 big wooden shelves, file
cabinet and all my knick knack stuff from my old classroom.
So now in middle of "hospital scene", is all my stuff. Our nursing
teacher is besides himself with worry about where all these things
of his are going to go. I feel bad for him but.....I need my room.
There are already 7 computer stations against one of the walls
with about 7 more coming soon for MY classes.
On another note. We had our begining of the year annual family
picture taken this past Saturday....you all are actually getting a
sneak peak at what our Christmas cards usually look like. This
pix was taken with my camera, the official sports photographer
took a "hopefully" better one right before this. This is what is known
as our "media" day. Pictures for the program are taken and individual
and team pictures as well.
It was already pretty hot at 11 o'clock, but as you can tell from mine
and Banana's hair it was pretty windy. Sugar (bottom left) is on the
Varsity this year, Squash (bottom right) is on the Junior Varsity.
I pulled up to this event and parked my car on the side of the driveway
entrance and pulled under a tree. It was close to the field house where
the pictures were being taken, it was under a tree and it just seemed
perfect. After everything was over, I got back in my car, turned around
the driveway and started to drive out and noticed something was
under my windshield wiper. I pulled over quickly and pulled it out
to read this on the back of a Bank deposit slip. HEY ASSHOLE,
DON'T PARK IN FRONT OF MY GATE!!" I didn't even
notice that I was parked in front of a gate (which i was). Our
school driveway is kind of in the middle of some Psycho man's
property and he has definately been known to do some strange
things...especially to kids who try to take a little extra time off
from school and cut through his property.
So, the note gets wadded up and thrown on the floor of my
car. The next day Squasher is driving us to church and he
gets everything set to back up and looks in the rearview
mirror and says, "Mom, look at the back window." I turn
around and in the dust is written "ASSHOLE". aughhh!
I didn't think about wiping it off when we got to church
and noticed it again when we walked back to the car when
Mass was over. OMG. I can't imagine what other people
thought that walked by and saw it! How embarrasing!
Why should you be embarrassed? The idiot who wrote it is the one who should be embarrassed!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you're getting your jog on again - and way to go on reducing your time.
Ok, I'm sorry about the note and the extra message in the window, but at the same time I'm laughing at you driving a car with that word on it to church! Some people...
ReplyDeleteNice picture. Hope your room gets all straightened out very soon.
ReplyDeleteCute picture!! I'm glad you are getting back into a routine.
ReplyDeleteAnd too funny about that note!
