The clock keeps ticking and the calendar pages are being torn off
at record setting speed.
Where is the summer going and what is its hurry?
The TV airwaves are being blasted with commercials of
"Back to School" sales. Walmart has set up their "special" aisles
to try and accomodate the 17 crazy mama's crammed in each
aisle that are all on the same mission: #2 pencils, wide rule
notebook paper, and rulers; red and yellow folders, composition
notebooks and washable glue.
The "sale" signs have popped up above all the racks that have
short sleeve clothes on it are located at the backs of the stores
where the front of the stores are inundated with sweaters and vests...
We're in TEXAS folks, it doesn't get cold here until December
or January for goodness sakes...I don't want to buy a Turtle
Neck Sweater!!
In Texas, students are to report back to school on the 23rd of
August and teachers the week before. It's getting close.

I know just what you mean! When we booked our Cape Cod week it seemed so far away, almost to the "end" of summer and now it's just a short 3 weeks away! As I ran by our local HS the other day I noticed on the announcement board that first day is August 30th. Crazy that it's almost here.
ReplyDeleteOh I hear you. My son starts high school on 8/18 and my daughter starts 5th grade on 8/25. I'm so not ready for summer vacay to be over. Time goes too fast for me.
ReplyDeleteHey there! I wanted to say something about the comment you left on my blog. Regarding your neck hurting during Pilates the teacher actually did something in class that really helped that. She had us take a pilates band (like this one http://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Firm-Sculpt-and-Tone-Pilates-Intermediate-Pilates-Body-Bands-with-DVD/5184569?sourceid=1500000000000003260410&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=5184569) and lay it down on the mat. Then you lay on top of the band so it runs down the length of your body with six inches or so sticking out above your head. You then grab the band above your head and use your arm strength to hold up your head and just let your head rest on the band. That way you're not straining your neck at all and your arms are engaged while you're working your abdomen, so it's a win win. :-) Hope that helps! And thanks for the birthday wishes!
ReplyDeleteI"m putting my fingers in my ears and a blindfold on and not reading this post.
